The museum was having a show of formal dresses associated with the year of the car that was on display.

1898 2-cylinder USA Horseless Carriage - (from the placard) This model replresented the transition between the horse-drawn carriages and the first automobile, where was added to the horse-drawn carriage a rudimentary engine becoming the first automobile.  Our  model shows an incipient concern for quality and comfort through the use of wood.

1904 Minervette Belgica 1 cylinder / 5 HP -  (from the placard)  It is the smallest model of the prestigious family of the Minerva motor cars.  This make was sold in UK for Charles Royce; future founder of Rolls-Royce.  This automobile was used by the King Carlos I of Portugal during his trip to the town of Vidago.  In the same place was found six decades later.

1904 De Dion-Bouton Francia 1 cylinder / 3 1/2 HP -  (from the placard)  - The company was founded from the association between an aristrocratic the count of Dian and the engineer Goerge Bouton.  Our model was knwn as "The Popular" and it was a great sales success.  Its designed is influenced by the style of Mouling Rouge and Toulouse Lantrec with the type of paintings from La Belle Epoque.

1907 Richmond USA Picnic Car - 4 cylinder / 22 HP

1912 Delage Francia  Mother-In-Law Seat - 4 cylinders / 12 HP  (from the placard)  - Delage was a French company of luxury automobiles and race cars founded in 1905.  This is a familiar car with its popular "mother-in-law seat" a name that refers to the uncomfortable seat in back rear, called this way like the typical British humor.

1908 Charron Francia Victoria Style - 4 cylinders / 28 HP  (from the placard)  - The make was well known for its reliability and power.  It participated in a historical race event; winning the first Gordon Bennet Cup.  This car was also involved in the history of aviation.  This was the personal car of Santos-Dumont, considered a pionner in the world of aviation.  Used this model to carry his plane till the town of Reims in 1909.
